Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a journalist and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station prior to moving to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent during weekends. She also works as an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of shows that were pre-showarrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
